Void

Yawning, aching, river-grey

Bites like coldest rain,

Tongue probes the raw hole where once sat a tooth,

Resonates like a howl from desperate throats,

Lost a piece you cannot grow back on your own.

There is no substance to memory lane

But ghosts will visit again and again.
